Shabaniyah event sponsored by Phoenix in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism. The event was held on 30 th April 2018 in Sur, called Shabaniyah
15 Sha'ban, is Hag Al Laila, which means ‘For this Night’, it is an annual celebration in the middle of Sha’aban, the eighth month in the Islamic Hijri calendar. As per tradition, people prepare for the arrival of Ramadan two weeks in advance in mid-Sha’aban. In the late afternoon, early evening children go knocking on their neighbors’ doors to collect sweets and treats.
